Public and Professional Education
The Cincinnati Eye Bank strives to continuously expand both public and professional awareness of the importance and need for eye donation. More than 45,000 corneas are needed annually for transplantation, and many more are needed for vital research and medical education.
Public education programs are available from Eye Bank staff for schools, civic groups, church groups, health fairs, and other public events. Brochures and informational packets are available as well.
Professional education programs are also available for medical professionals, including nurses, physicians, clergy, and social workers. Programs can be tailored to suit the audience in both length and content.
